Club Match Information
We shoot the second Saturday and fourth Thursday of each month.
Registration starts at 08:30 for Saturday and 17:30 (5:30) for Thursday.
Cost is $10 per shooter.
You can shoot a second gun for $10 if conditions permit. Check with the match director.
No cash is awarded.
Matches usually run less than 100 rounds.
If you are not an IDPA member or are not familiar with IDPA rules and equipment, come on anyway. You can shoot what you have and we'll make you feel at home.
General Info:
- The gate will open at about 07:30 for Saturday set-up. Shooting should start around 10:00 during the winter months.
- Shooting should be over between 12:00 and 13:00, but if you need to scoot early, check with the Match Director and see if you can "Shoot Through".
- Safety comes first. You MUST have safety glasses on at all times. Hearing protection is required once shooting begins.
- We operate a cold range. Your gun must be unloaded, magazine out, and in your bag or holster at all times. You may only handle a gun in a designated SAFE AREA or under the instruction of a Safety Officer.
- No ammo is allowed in the SAFE AREA.
- Steel City offers a variety of classes to meet your needs. If you have never owned a handgun, take the NRA Pistol course. If you know about handgun safety and how to shoot but want to get a jump start on the sport of Defensive Pistol shooting, then consider IDPA 101. Check the TRAINING page for more information.
